Joinery Developments Ltd specialises in door and window hardware and hinges. We supply primarily to the Aluminum Fabricating Industry and Interior Partition Industry.
Under the name "Easy Air", we also specialise in passive (trickle) ventilation, primarily for residential homes, however our window vents are also suitable for many other building types where there is a need to improve indoor air quality and reduce condensation and mould.

EasyAir vents can eliminate mould and condensation the effective, natural way, with zero electricity usage.
EasyAir ventilators can be built-in to aluminium or timber joinery to let fresh air in - and moisture and pollutant-laden air out.
The flow of outside air can be altered - or cut off altogether - simply by adjusting the durable plastic slider.
EasyAir ventilators work at the touch of a finger. An optional cord control allows you to adjust the air flow in hard to reach places.
EasyAir vents include a sturdy insect screen and a unique, fully tested outer shield to ensure pests and the elements are kept out while letting the fresh air in.
EasyAir vents provide a secure option for passive ventilation. They will continue to let in fresh air even when all of the doors and windows are safely locked up, and without draining electricity. They are ideal for batches, holiday homes, school buildings and other places that are usually shut up for long periods of time.
EasyAir vents are crafted from long-lasting aluminium and powdercoated or anodised in a range of fashion colours. They can also come in dual colour if required.
EasyAir vents are a high specification vent designed for NZ conditions and complies with NZ 421 1 Standard for windows. Its air leakage factor complies with level 2 of the above standard so it can therefore be used commercially in air conditioned buildings. It can be cut to any size within the constraints of appearance (too small) and wind loading (too long).
When specified correctly, EasyAir vents will meet or exceed the minimum requirements for background ventilation.
EasyAir passive vents don't require any major renovation work when fitted to existing windows. A qualified tradesperson can fit the ventilator panels to any existing aluminium or wooden joinery with minimal fuss.
The average cost is around $40 to $50 per vent (priced according to length), plus a per-vent installation cost of around $50. A typical 3 bedroom home requires approximately 8 - 10 trickle vents.

Hinges
Joinery developments manufactures and supplies a range of aluminium and stainless steel hinges suitable for internal and external doors. These have been designed specifically to meet the needs of aluminium window and door manufacturers, and interior partitioning businesses.
Quick Fix 100mm 7 Hole (QF7) Hinges
Made from 6261 extruded aluminium alloy with nylon bushes and stainless steel pin for exterior use or mild steel pin for interior use. These are used primarily for interior partitioning where timber doors are hung on aluminium frames together with domestic aluminium entry doors.
Quick Fix Interior (QFI) Hinges
Made from extruded 6261 aluminium (aluminum) alloy with nylon brushes and mild steel pin. These hinges are designed for interior partitioning. Smaller hinge barrel provides for wider hinge leaves allowing greater distance between fixing holes which suits some extrusions better than normal layout. In addition thinner hinge leaf allows greater cover on door closer draft stripping.
Quick Fix Heavy Duty 110mm (QFHD) Hinges
Made from extruded 6261 aluminium (aluminum) alloy with nylon bushes and stainless steel pin. These hinges use the 7 hole configuration and are used in commercial situations being recommended for use with top mounted door closers and solid core doors.
Door Pulls
Joinery Developments manufacture and supply a range of aluminium and stainless steel door pulls suitable for external entry doors. These have been designed to satisfy the needs of aluminium window and door manufacturers, and interior partitioning businesses.
