Susan is an internationally published Interior Designer with 12 years’ experience running her successful design firm in San Francisco, California. With her kiwi husband, she has realised her long held dream of relocating to New Zealand, bringing her expertise in design styles, product ranges and project management with her. Susan’s philosophy and extensive experience leads her to create original designs. “No two people are exactly alike, so each project is different,” she says. “I don’t do ‘cookie cutter’ rooms; I want my designs to be as special and individual as my clients”.

Traditional Kitchen, Living and Bathroom Design

When designing a room, Susan considers function as well as appearance. “I think that aesthetics are very important”, she says, “but not at the expense of practicality and function”. More important, she thinks, is a cohesive design that allows each room to blend seamlessly into the rest of the house. Susan believes this is especially true when designing a kitchen.
